Community guidelines
TheParagraph works because it's about the words, not the person who sent them. Keep it that way and everyone gets the catharsis without anyone getting hurt.
Always
- Crop out everything that identifies someone — names, usernames, profile photos, phone numbers, email addresses, locations, and links. Do this before you post; the crop tool is there for exactly this.
- Keep the focus on the message, not on exposing or shaming a real person.
- Report posts that break these rules — moderators remove them.
Never
- No doxxing or identifying the other person, directly or by hints.
- No harassment, threats, or targeted campaigns against anyone.
- No illegal content, and nothing sexual involving minors.
- No spam, advertising, or content that isn't a genuine rejection.
This is for catharsis, not cruelty. If a post crosses the line, use the Report button on it — repeated reports automatically hide a post pending review.
